"Walk, Step, Save: Donate Life Month Challenge"

Welcome to TEAM BUFFALO's Donate Life Month Step Challenge! This month, we're coming together to celebrate life, raise awareness, and make a real impact. Every step you take not only brings us closer to our goal of promoting organ donation, but also honors those who give the gift of life and those waiting for a life-saving transplant. Whether you're walking, running, or strolling, each step you take counts. This is more than just a fitness challenge – it's a way to show our support for the Donate Life movement and inspire others to join the cause. No additional equipment is needed all you need is your smartphone and the Pacer app to track your progress. Let's lace up our shoes, hit our stride, and make every step count for life!

Donations will support Team Buffalo as the team prepares for the 2026 Transplant Games of America. This challenge is limited to 100 participants with a suggested donation of at least $10.00 each.

Core Rules

Track your progress, earn a point for each day you reach the daily goal, and compete to see who can get the most points.

• Allowed Activities: Walking, running, hiking and step-based activities. Manual input not allowed.

• Daily Step Goal: 7,000 steps

Prizes

PRIZES! Four weekly prizes (gift certificates) will be awarded. Certificate Choices: The BFLO store, Leveled Up Buffalo, Fiddlers or $25 cash
 

Week 1 (4/8) and Week 2 (4/16): Each week 1 Prize will be awarded to a random winner just for participating in the challenge. Week 3 (4/23): Prize awarded to 1 Participant that has recorded 77,000 steps or more ON AVERAGE: Weeks 1 and 2- average 2,000 steps a day Week 3- average 7,000 steps a day Week 4: One random winner will be picked from the top 10 total step finishers.

The Kidney Foundation of WNY is a tax-exempt charitable organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowable by law.
