Hoping for a living kidney donor

Michael Tatum of Cheektowaga is a loving husband, father and grandfather. In 2021, he learned that he was reaching kidney failure. Michael has now been undergoing dialysis treatment for more than a year. He is hoping to find a living kidney donor and is working with the transplant team at ECMC.

Despite ongoing health issues, Michael enjoys volunteering. “With a new kidney and renewed quality of life, I plan to continue to give back to my community and focus on spending time with my loved ones,” he said.

Michael has type O blood. You can contact Michael by using the form under his story at https://kidneyconnection.org/my-story-michael-tatum/.
