"Let life sing!" is the theme for Donate Life Month 2025.

Observed in April each year, National Donate Life Month raises awareness about organ, eye and tissue donation, encouraging Americans to register as donors and honoring those who have saved lives through the gift of donation.

More than 90,000 Americans are waiting for a kidney transplant.
The kidney is the most needed organ for transplantation.

Kidneys are the most frequently transplanted organ, but there are many more people in need than there are organs available. In late March, 104,732 people were on U.S. organ transplant waiting lists, with 90,603 in need of kidneys.

Nearly 7,000 people in New York State are currently waiting for a kidney transplant. More than 1,000 have been waiting between three and five years, while 832 have been waiting longer than five years.

We ask you to be a part of this life-sustaining community by registering as a donor, becoming educated about living donation, and championing the Donate Life cause.
