World Kidney Day is March 8

The Kidney Foundation of WNY is working to raise awareness of kidney health issues today and throughout the month.

  • We've teamed up with the office of Mayor Byron W. Brown to provide information and blood pressure screenings in Buffalo City Hall from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 8.
  • The American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls will be will be illuminated in blue, green and yellow at 10 p.m. tonight to call attention to kidney disease.
  • The Electric Tower and Buffalo City Hall will be illuminated in blue, green and yellow tonight.

  • Diabetes and high blood pressure are the leading causes of chronic kidney disease.
